When was Rivers created?
Rivers was established in 1979, forming partnerships with Diana Ferrari in Sebastopol and wholesaling to the likes of Grace Bros, Myer, David Jones and Betts in Australia. In 1983, Rivers’ very first retail store opened on George Street, Sidney specializing in men’s footwear. It was soon followed by their second store located in Pitt Street. After initial success, the retailer expanded its catalogue and, by 1993, Rivers had over 50 stores across Australia.
Years later, Rivers went digital and launched the first retailer website in the country in 1999, also welcoming the 2000's with the launch of their Women's apparel range and celebrating the opening of their 100th store that same year.
The year 2018 saw big changes for Rivers as the company was purchased by the Noni B Group who are committed to giving their customers the best experience possible.
